ASBURY PARK, N.J. — Veteran punk band The Bouncing Souls announced they will embark on a massive 300-date tour later this year, consisting entirely of shows in northeastern New Jersey, sources confirmed.
“This is huge for us,” said lead singer Greg Attonito. “We are just so unbelievably excited to spend the next 18 months playing all over northeastern New Jersey. Whether you live in Pequannock Township or all the way in Hackensack, we’re coming for you.”
While the Bouncing Souls, formed in 1989 in New Brunswick, N.J., have long been associated with the Garden State, they have never attempted such an ambitious and thorough tour of a specific New Jersey region.
“We really wanted to make sure we left no stone unturned in touring Jersey,” added Attonito. “I’ve heard Bayonne is breathtaking in the spring, and that the Tenafly punk scene is one of the best in Bergen County.”
Every other member of the Bouncing Souls echoed Attonito’s joy over spending 547 consecutive days touring northeastern New Jersey.
“It’s always been on our bucket list to play Humdingers Bowling Alley in Paramus, and we have a four-night residency there,” said drummer George Rebelo. “So this is really a dream come true.”

Critics have questioned whether or not the Bouncing Souls were prepared for the rigors of such an intense, comprehensive tour, but band members are confident the trip will go smoothly.
“I get it. People think a bunch of older guys can’t hit the open road and drive 45 minutes at a time to each gig,” said bassist Bryan Kienlen. “But we won’t have that problem — we bought our own private jet to fly us to each gig.”
Following the year and a half excursion, the band hopes to return inspired to hit the studio and record new music — with a chance to hit the road once again.
“We want to spread out and give fans all over the world a chance to see us,” said Attonito. “We’re already planning a huge Southwestern New Jersey tour that could keep us on the road for another two years.”
