Sometimes it’s hard to come to terms with the insane reality in which we currently live. A demagogue in the white house? Seriously, I know it’s been 70 days or something like that, but if you would have told me 10 years ago that Donald Trump would be president in 2017 I probably would have said, “What? I’m 9.”
It’s just so shocking.
The fact that this orange buffoon rode racism to the White House is horrifying. To travel around a bunch of poor white neighborhoods and divide up the country like that is disgusting. A real president would just politely decline to talk to those disgusting Hills Have Eyes freaks. That’s presidential. And honestly, I could have never seen this coming 10 years ago, especially because I was in fourth grade and just learning how to use context clues to analyze unfamiliar words.
But here we are.
It almost seems stranger than fiction, but it’s real life, and now the editor in chief of Info Wars, Stephan Bannon (a known KKK member), is helping Trump spit on the German King just for trying to shake his hand. If you would have told me that would be happening 10 years ago I would have said, “Stranger danger!” and ran away, just as I was taught.
I mean, seriously, who could have seen this coming? Not me when I was learning to solve basic multiplication and division problems.

I’m usually good at predicting what is going to happen next, but this Trump stuff? No way. Especially when I was a fourth grader just learning to recognize and identify basic geometrical vocabulary and ideas.
Also (and I’m not sure if this matters) but I actually had to repeat fourth grade. My mom says it was because of the month I was born but I know it’s because I had difficulty learning to formulate multiple paragraph pieces that focus on a specific purpose or audience, especially when weird people kept coming up to me and asking me to make presidential predictions about a guy on TV.
