Let’s face it, work is a drag. We weren’t born to just pay bills and die, right? The problem with our society is that everyone is a slave to their jobs and money. Life is for living! The world was meant to be explored and experienced! The time is now, just do it! Quit your job and ask your absurdly rich parents for money to travel anywhere you want!
The biggest myth in life is that you need a job and money to have a nice life. I haven’t worked a day in my life and I’m living all my dreams. I’ve seen the masterpieces in Paris, the pyramids of Egypt, I’ve hunted wild game in Africa, and never once have I used an alarm clock or filled out a spreadsheet. It can be done!
Take control of your life; it’s time to change your mindset and live the life you want to live! Last year I read “The Sun Also Rises” by Ernest Hemingway and was intrigued by his description of the running of the bulls in Spain. Did I just sit around and think about how cool it would be to go? NO! I took charge, I made a game plan, I marched straight up to my parents while they were having dinner and said, “Mommy, Daddy, I need $10,000 to go to Spain for the running of the bulls.” Next thing I know I’m eating tapas at a cafe in Spain and having one of the greatest experiences of my life. It’s that easy!
It’s all about your mental attitude. You have to WANT to see the world, to experience all the wonders of life. When I was in Spain, I set my bag with all my cash down for a bit while I ran with the bulls, and when I came back it was gone! Some people might consider this a disaster, but I didn’t crumble, I didn’t go back home with my tail between my legs, I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and had my parents Venmo me another $5,000 so I could continue my travels.
Everyone can travel the world, all it takes is ridding yourself of these outdated notions that you have to keep working and pay your bills. That’s a toxic mindset, you don’t need that negativity in your life! Just ask your rich parents for the money and get out there! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!
